Αν και δεν ακούσαμε τίποτα απολύτως για τον Desmond από τη μέρα που ξεκίνησαν τα γυρίσματα του 6ου κύκλου, ο DarkUfo μας επιβεβαιώνει ότι θα εμφανιστεί στο Lost από το επεισόδιο 6.01 ''LA X''. Βρίσκεται στη Χαβάη αυτός όπως και οι υπόλοιποι από 24 Αυγούστου.

Rose is displeased when Bernard concocts a plan to get the survivors rescued. Jack devises a plan of his own — to trade “Henry” to the Others for Walt.

• Bernard is still reeling from the mystery of the unexplained food drop, while Rose merely considers it a blessing that shouldn’t be questioned. Aggravated, Bernard observes that everyone on this side of the island has given up on ever being rescued, and comes up with a plan of his own to make it happen. He assembles a work crew comprised of survivors and explains that he wants to make a massive S.O.S. sign that can be seen from the air, in case anymore planes fly overhead like the one that must’ve dropped the food palette. But while most of the survivors seem to warm to his idea, Rose turns up and tries subtly to derail him. When he calls her on it, she accuses him of giving everyone false hope.
• Bernard later visits Eko and Charlie and asks for their help with his sign. But they refuse, revealing that the project they’ve been building is a church. Bernard is incensed that everyone on the island seems to be setting down roots, and questions why he’s the only one interested in trying to get rescued.

Hurley believes the island is messing with his head when he sees a figure from his past materialize on the island. "Henry" shakes Locke's faith with a surprising revelation.

• As their relationship begins to deepen, guilt-ridden Hurley takes Libby to his secret stash of Dharma food as a confession of sorts. She challenges him to change, and he dumps all of the food out of its containers, onto the ground, in response. But just as they're about to engage in their first kiss, dozens of other survivors run by on their way to the Dharma food drop (as seen at the end of the last episode, "Lockdown"). When the survivors begin arguing over who gets what, Charlie suggests that Hurley be placed in charge of distributing the food, but Hurley refuses in no uncertain terms.

• Charlie offers to help Eko with his construction project, if Eko will tell him what he's building. Eko agrees, but wants to wait a while before telling his secret.
• At the Swan station, Jack diagnoses Locke with a hairline fracture after his injury from the blast doors. Locke wonders aloud why "Henry" stayed behind to help him when he could have escaped, but Jack says that he merely believed that he would eventually be able to integrate into the group like Ethan Rom nearly did. Jack later decides that it's time the entire group of survivors is told that they have one of the Others as a prisoner, and leaves for the beach.

Locke finds himself trapped in the Swan station with Henry Gale, and witnesses an astonishing sight. Meanwhile, Ana-Lucia, Sayid, and Charlie discover Henry’s hot-air balloon, and with it, the answers they seek.

• After Henry’s “joke” about a potential trap waiting at the site of his balloon, Jack is agitated enough to leave the Swan station and go after them. When Henry presses his luck by trying again to trigger Locke’s jealousy of Jack’s role as leader, Locke finally sees through Henry’s manipulations and locks him back in the armory.
• Ana-Lucia, Sayid, and Charlie locate Henry Gale’s hot air balloon, out in the jungle where he said it would be. They also find the grave he claimed would be there, where his wife is buried.
• At the beach, Jack is met with suspicion over the secret everyone seems to know he’s keeping back at the Swan. In an attempt to procure some Neosporin from Sawyer for Libby, Jack cons Sawyer into playing poker against him, for all of the medicine Sawyer stole from the armory. Believing he’s the superior card player, Sawyer falls for Jack’s game, and loses when Jack bluffs him. Sawyer asks why Jack didn’t play for the guns instead, but Jack confidently replies, “When I need the guns, I’ll get the guns.”

When Sun discovers she’s pregnant, she wrestles with a secret she’s kept hidden from Jin for years. The power struggle between Jack and Locke heats up when Locke asks Ana-Lucia to interrogate Henry Gale.

• Jin, worried about his wife after her recent attempted abduction, tracks her down to her garden — the very place where she was almost taken. The two of them have a heated argument about her safety here, ending when Jin uproots all of her crops in order to force her to leave the garden alone and return to the safety of the beach.
• Locke asks Ana-Lucia to interrogate Henry Gale, in the hopes she can determine the truth about him. Locke takes this action without Jack’s knowledge or approval, asserting his own leadership, independent of Jack (a direct result of Henry’s provocation in the last episode). Jack is agitated by Locke’s calm exercise of power, but decides to go along with it.

• Desperate for help when Aaron becomes sick, Claire wants to go to the Swan station to see Jack, but Locke intercepts her to retrieve him for her, so that she doesn’t find out about their captive, the man calling himself Henry Gale. But after Locke leaves, Danielle shows up at the beach camp, believing that Aaron has become “infected,” and Claire begins having flashes of memories about her time abduction by Ethan Rom. But Claire is still frightened of Danielle, so Kate intervenes and runs Danielle off. When Jack arrives, he tries to calm her fears about Aaron by explaining that babies get lots of common but non-life-threatening illnesses as they grow.
